ABOUT APPRAISER,

I was born in 1974, into a gem trade family at Chiangrai Province, the north of Thailand, which is the frontier to Myanmar. This was the only route to gemstones from Myanmar to Thailand.

I awarded Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) and completed all of highest another certified from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in 2004, for example, Jewelry and Pearl.



In year 2006 I founded and started Toow Institute under the permission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand. I became the first instructor in this organization.

I traded gemstones and diamonds for years then authoring the best seller book "How to buy diamonds without being scammed" because, that time, there were very few certified diamonds for consumers.

In the meantime, I'm renowned to be in magazines and TV programs as gem expert.



In 2010, I learned how to facet and cut gemstones and how to cut diamonds until year 2012 I have opportunity to given my own cut diamond, 99 facets, to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn.

With over 15 years in the gems and diamond trading and appraisal experience in Thailand, China, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, India and Japan, Dr. Sopon has acquired the knowledge of current regional market prices of gems and diamonds to give a realist and accurate appraisal of the value, thus issuing a certificate of value and authenticity.

Dr. Sopon’s expertise in diamond and gemstone cutting and grading allows him to give fair and accurate appraisals of the market cost and time spent in cutting diamond and gems.

At the “Toow Institute”, Dr. Sopon provides daily services for appraising lose diamonds, gemstones and jewelry for sell. He provides insurance quotes and updates the market value at the clients requested.
